This is a really neat website for students to look at to learn more about the government officials in their city and state. The Political Courage Test looks at the responses of current officials and candidates in regards to their positions on key topics.

Worldmapper is a collection of maps that includes information on population, land area, movement of goods, religion, language, and many more. It's a great source for teachers and students that need information about locations around the world.
National Geographic For Kids
National Geographic for Kids is a website to be used by students and their families. It offers up to date news, games, videos, and pictures about geography in a fun and interactive way that relates to children. It also has multiple tabs with information about different countries, animals, pets, and more. It's great for teachers to use along with worksheets and lessons.
What are maps for?
Maps are not just for getting you from point A to point B. They also tell you where important locations are nearby, where a place is located on the earth, and sometimes it can tell you more details about a specific time period or location. Maps are puzzles with keys to interpret them. This website explains how.
World Factbook
The World Factbook includes information on the world's history, people, governments, and more.
